Mansfield North Social Prescribers link with Oakwood Surgery on Women’s Health Day

Oakwood Surgery opened up their doors to welcome ladies to a “Women’s Health Day” along with PICS Social Prescribers, Sherwood Wellness and Oak Tree Lane Leisure Centre who were promoting ideas for healthier lifestyles.

 All staff involved offered information around better ways to wellbeing, support during the menopause and the benefits of person centred support. Visitors were given information about increasing and improving bone strength, diet and their general health.

Charlotte, our Health and Wellbeing coach offered information about a course due to run soon to support ladies pre, post and during the menopause.

Discussions also included the support for carers in the community, local groups, social activities and work progression organisations who are available to progress people back into work.
